Creative Breaks in Orkney

We all need a change of scene sometimes and time to concentrate on our creative needs.
We can offer you the opportunity to get together with a couple of friends and join Rosalind at her Orkney studio and self-catering cottage for bespoke textile fun. Your break can be whatever you want it to be.
Patchwork, quilting, felting, printing, dying, embroidery - all techniques are catered for. Fair Isle knitting classes can also be arranged.
Stay in Rosalind’s self-catering cottage on site or, if you prefer, stay at a nearby hotel.
Come with your own designs, or Rosalind can use her extensive international experience to design projects with you or assist you in any way.
Group size - Minimum 2, maximum 6
Duration - 3 to 7 days
When? - Between September and April
The well-lit studio where you will work is well-equipped with sewing machines, cutting boards and a felting mill.
As well as stunning views across Firth Bay we offer hot drinks on tap, disabled access and ample parking nearby, as well as close to public transport.
